MexNet Alliance is proud to announce that the first U.S. Chapter of “Empresarios por México” has been formally inaugurated in the city of Austin on the 8th of March, 2010. Thanks to the hard work of our entire Board and the unconditional and invaluable support from the General Consul of Mexico, Rosalba Ojeda, ProMéxico has inducted twenty entrepreneurs and professionals to be part of this international network.
ProMéxico is the Federal Government’s agency in charge of strengthening México’s participation in the international economy. Carlos Marrón, Texas Regional representative for ProMéxico, visited Austin the first week of March to meet with the inductees and the MexNet Alliance Board.
A mexican lunch was served at Garrido’s restaurant, located downtown Austin, and there, with the participation of General Consul Ojeda, Mr. Marrón explained the advantages of becoming a member of “Empresarios por Mexico” and the responsibilities associated with this organization.
Each member will have the opportunity to access an international network and database of selected business professionals around the world, which together seek to develop strategic alliances to promote the economic development, international commerce, and foreign investment in Mexico.

- Workshops and seminars
The first five days of March, the city of Austin welcomed the fourth edition of RISE (Relationship & Information Series for Entrepeneurs.) RISE is a program organized by the MPower foundation with the intention of giving workshops and presentations about interesting subjects for entrepeneurs. In this occasion, three members of theMexNet Alliance Board were speakers in some of the workshops.
MexNet Alliance sponsored the RISE Multicultural Reception on March 3rd, at the communication’s firm Hahn, Texas facilities.
With this kind of collaborations, MexNet Alliance ratifies its comittement with the creativity and inventiveness that every entrepeneur requires when trying to create new opportunities to consolidate and grow their businesses.
