On this past evening of April 28th 2010, the writer and culinary guru in Mexican cuisine, Diana Kennedy, welcomed MexNet Alliance and its guests into her wonderful world of cooking. Fonda San Miguel could not have been a better setting to welcome Ms. Kennedy, who talked about her passion for writing and for Mexican cuisine.
As part of the evening, Ms. Kennedy also discussed her most recent project, “Oaxaca”, a book that will be published this upcoming September by the University of Texas Press, and which will be presented in MexNet Alliance’s Authentic Flavors of Mexico Gala on September 13th at the Long Center.
The gathering, which welcomed distinguished guests including The Honorable Rosalba Ojeda, Consul General of Mexico, featured various delicious and authentic Mexican dishes prepared by Fonda San Miguel. Ms. Kennedy’s presence was a great joy, and MexNet Alliance looks forward to welcoming her back to Austin later this year.
